- 2 cups of chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil

Method
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the diced ham and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Add the onion, green bell pepper, celery, and garlic to the pot and cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the rice to the pot and stir to combine with the vegetables and ham.
- Add the chicken broth, paprika, dried thyme, bay leaf, salt, and pepper to the pot and stir to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover the pot.
- Simmer the rice for 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed.
- Remove the bay leaf from the pot and discard.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
Notes
