- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup white rice
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 green onions, chopped

- Large pot with lid

- Wooden spoon
Method
- Cook the rice according to package instructions and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain the fat and set the beef aside.
- Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet and sauté until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
- Add the chicken broth, paprika, thyme, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the cooked rice and browned ground beef, and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
