Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked wild rice, black beans, diced onion, diced bell pepper, panko breadcrumbs, egg, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well with a fork or potato masher until ingredients are evenly distributed and mixture is slightly sticky.
- Form mixture into 4 patties and place on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until patties are firm and golden brown.
- While the patties are baking, prepare your burger buns by toasting them in a toaster or on a grill pan.
