The ingredients required for this dish are:- 2 cups of cooked rice
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon of urad dal
- 1 teaspoon of chana dal
- A pinch of asafoetida
- 2 tablespoons of peanuts
- 1 tablespoon of grated ginger
- 2 green chilies, chopped
- 1 sprig of curry leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1 lemon, juiced
- Salt to taste

Method
Here's how to make lemon rice:- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal, chana dal, asafoetida and peanuts. Fry until peanuts turn golden brown.
- Add grated ginger, green chilies, curry leaves and turmeric powder. Fry for a few seconds.
- Now add cooked rice and mix well.
- Add lemon juice and salt to taste. Mix well.
- Switch off the flame and cover the pan with a lid for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to blend together.
- After 5 minutes, remove the lid and give it a good mix.
- Your lemon rice is ready to be served!
