- 1 cup Goya long-grain rice

- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup Goya frozen peas

- Medium saucepan with lid

Method
- Heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic and sauté until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the rice, salt, cumin, and black pepper to the pan and stir to combine.
- Sauté the rice mixture for 2-3 minutes, until the rice is lightly toasted.
- Add the tomato sauce and water to the pan and stir to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low.
- Cover the pan with a lid and simmer for 20 minutes.
- After 20 minutes, add the frozen peas to the pan and stir to combine.
- Cover the pan again and continue to simmer for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is fully cooked and the liquid has been absorbed.
- Remove the pan from the heat and let it sit for 5 minutes before fluffing the rice with a fork and serving.
